Using assessment data to inform remote teaching practice

Feature 2 minute read

Explore how teachers can use a range of assessment data to identify learning needs and differentiate teaching and learning for students in an emergency remote teaching environment in a webinar by ACER's Dr Katie Richardson.

We're pleased to feature this informative webinar delivered by Dr Katie Richardson, Research Fellow and Online Facilitator at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), facilitated by the Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS).

In the everyday classroom, teachers utilise a range of data – observations, assessment, individual education plans and more – to inform their planning for teaching and learning. However, the coronavirus pandemic has necessitated sudden and significant changes to educational practices, which have introduced a range of additional challenges for students and their learning. This session explores how teachers can use a range of assessment data to identify learning needs and differentiate teaching and learning for students in an emergency remote teaching environment.
