This interactive dashboard supports donor and recipient countries to identify trends, gaps and overlaps in their tertiary education scholarship investments in the Pacific.
It also shows a new approach for monitoring and reporting on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target Goal 4.b: Expand higher education scholarships for developing countries.
Part of a pilot study, the dashboard focuses on Pacific Island countries and shows an improved monitoring approach using thematic indicator SDG 4.b.2 - Number of higher education scholarships awarded by beneficiary country. This approach demonstrates the feasibility and benefits of coordinated data sharing for scholarship donors and recipient countries.
The dashboard is indicative of scholarship provision in the Pacific. While comprehensive data has been provided by a number of stakeholders throughout the region, it is not complete. The aim is to work towards a more comprehensive collection and display.
