Quick tips to keep your ISA school account up to date
Feature 5 Jun 2020 3 minute readAs schools begin planning their next International Schools' Assessment (ISA) administration, our team have put together some helpful advice to keep your ISA school account and student data clean, organised and ready for testing.
Update the main contact of your account
Important reminders and notices are sent to the main contact (known as the ISA School Coordinator) in your school account, so please ensure their contact details remain up to date. Your ISA School Coordinator can also review the details of other staff within the account and update as required.
If you need to update your ISA School Coordinator, send a quick email to isa@acer.org and we can update these details for you.
Use the grade level rollover function
The grade level rollover button helps you update your student’s data for the current year. One click of the orange button lets you review each grade and advance them to the next level, as appropriate.
Update your students’ details in bulk
You can amend your students’ data in bulk by going to the Students page of your account and selecting Manage > Edit student – file upload. You can then download an Excel spreadsheet of your student data that you can filter and update, and then simply re-upload to save your changes. This is particularly helpful when updating your students’ class details.
Please note that new students should be added separately, using the Add students function, where they can also be added in bulk.
Un-enrol students who are no longer attending
To keep your student data clean and organised, it can be useful to un-enrol students who are no longer attending your school. You can do this individually by clicking on a student and changing their status, or in bulk by following the editing process above. These students do not disappear from your account – you can always find them by viewing your unenrolled students.
Contact the ISA team for guidance
If you’re unsure about the best way to update your data, don’t hesitate to reach out to the ISA team at isa@acer.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible with advice and step-by-step instructions.
