Spotlight on the ISA team
Feature 14 Mar 2024 2 minute readMeet the people answering your queries! In this edition, Victoria Major discusses working on the International Schools’ Assessment (ISA), her advice for educators, what she has learned so far and what’s next on her travel wish list.
When did you join the ISA team? What do you like most about working on the ISA?
I joined the ISA team in June 2022. I really enjoy assisting our ISA schools from around the world to ensure that they have a positive experience participating in the program.
If you had one piece of advice for educators using the ISA, what would it be?
Don’t hesitate to reach out to the team with any questions you might have, especially if you feel you are not sure how to interpret your results or are not getting the most out of your data. Using your results effectively is the most important part of the whole process.
I would recommend watching one of our pre-recorded reporting webinars or attending one of our live webinars that are scheduled regularly. We are always happy to help with any questions you have!
What have you learned from working in the ISA team?
I have enjoyed learning more about ACER’s test development process and working with our highly skilled test development team to produce quality ISA assessments.
Where are your favourite places to travel? What’s next on your list?
Travel is one of my passions! I think the most amazing place I have visited so far is Iceland. I have a 2024 trip planned to southern Europe which begins in Athens and finishes in Lisbon, visiting Croatia, Italy, France and Spain along the way.
