The Australian Council for Educational Research has been appointed to manage the marking of the NSW Department of Education Year 6 Check-in Writing assessment student responses.
The Year 6 Check-in Writing assessment will be held in ACER’s marking centre located in Alexandria, Sydney.
No previous experience in large-scale marking operations is necessary however, preference will be given to primary teachers and secondary literacy-trained teachers, and experienced markers of literacy assessments.
Marking is scheduled to take place over a three-week period during September and October 2024.
Compulsory Leader training will take place at ACER Alexandria on Monday 16 September, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Compulsory Training for all markers will take place at ACER Alexandria on Tuesday 17 September, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
You will be required to attend all day marking sessions as outlined in the Marking schedule:
Week 1: Tuesday 17 September to Friday 20 September, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Week 2: Monday 23 September to Friday 27 September, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Week 3: Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
