ACER news 13 Jan 2017 1 minute readThe Australia Awards in Indonesia, funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is supporting more than 130 Indonesian education professionals and future leaders to visit Victoria to access and share high-quality professional development opportunities.
The goal of this initiative is to build teachers’ use of knowledge, skills and attitudes to influence their professional field and communities. The Asia Education Foundation at The University of Melbourne is the lead contractor.
Dr Hilary Hollingsworth and Professor Kathryn Moyle from ACER’s Education Policy and Practice research program are delivering assessment workshops for this program. The workshops, titled Assessing Student Learning, provide opportunities for participants to:
- reflect on their current assessment practices
- examine how assessment thinking and practice is changing
- investigate components of ‘A Learning Assessment System’, and
- consider implications for their teaching.
